Why so passionate?

Why are we so passionate about positive reinforcement training, as opposed to other punishment-based methods? Because the latter often leads to stories like the one posted below. A 12-week-old puppy, dumped because her owners believed she had "serious behavior issues". Fortunately, this little cutie's story has a happy ending because the drive way she was abandoned in, belongs to one of the
countries most renowned positive reinforcement dog trainers, Pat Miller. As Pat read the letter that the pup's prior owners left with her, she was able to come to a reasonable conclusion as to how things had gone so wrong…you guessed it, a punishment-based approach.

So take some time to read Maggie Faith's story, and remember that positive reinforcement training methods create happy life-long relationships between dogs and their people!
